Alien species - Environment, Biorisks, Future
Fifth environment symposium
18 - 19 January 2007, Turku, Finland

Welcome to the homepage of the Fifth Environment Symposium of the Nessling Foundation. Alien species are affecting ecosystems worldwide, and, following habitat destruction, they are considered the second largest threat to biodiversity in both aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems. The objective of the Symposium was to provide a forum for a multi- and interdisciplinary discussion of the threats and benefits related to alien species.
