THE GRANT DECISIONS FOR THE YEAR 2016 – CRITERIAS AND RULES FOR FUNDING

The applications were evaluated by a committee of environmental experts on the basis of the following criteria:

  • Solution orientation and societal relevance of the research results
  • Scientific quality and innovativeness of the research
  • Scientific competence of the applicant and the research group
  • Collaboration with other researchers / research groups /organizations
  • Communication and interaction with stakeholders (especially with end-users of the results)
  • Training environment (for PhD studies)
The board decided to fund the continuation projects for the 4th year of the PhD work max 6 months.Your project may not have been funded for the following rules in application instructions:
  • Each applicant is allowed to submit only one application at a time. A new research project is not supported if the applicant has an ongoing Nessling-project
  • Assisting personnel is funded only for well justified reasons, together with a personal grant
  • Foundation does not support finishing of the PhD or other projects. The funded projects are under halfway of the total project.
