Addressing climate change through international investment law.The objective of my research is to examines the interface between climate change mitigation and investment law. It seeks to establish whether investment agreements can hinder or reinforce the effectiveness of climate change mitigation efforts under the Paris Agreement and support climate-friendly investments.The research examines more closely principles of international investment law, EU investment agreements and Finland’s bilateral investment treaties (BITs).
