This research project analyses marine environmental problems produced by the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) regarding the legal-geographical separation of our oceans. The project also aims to explain how international law embraced such an environmentally harmful division of ocean spaces and discuss how a more ecologically aligned division of our oceans would look like.
