Flowering meadows in the city – how to increase vascular plant diversity in urban novel grasslands?My research aim is to identify the key factors driving plant communities and their biodiversity in urban novel grasslands, as well as methods to increase their biodiversity. Traditional semi-natural grasslands and their species have become increasingly endangered, but novel grasslands, such as road verges, extensively managed open-vegetated green areas and wastelands offer habitat for many grasslands species. I will produce ecological and sociological information that can be used to increase their biodiversity.
