Can co-restoring foundation species improve restoration success and revitalize coastal biodiversity? The aim of this project is to determine how co-restoring seagrass meadows and bivalves reefs could increase restoration success of these coastal habitats and their associated biodiversity. These ecosystems are very important for marine communities, as well as human societies. They are threatened by human impacts such as climate change and coastal development and many are too badly degraded to recover on their own, but thus far restoration success has been low.
