The Third Environment Symposium of the Maj and Tor Nessling Foundation 2.-3.10.2000, Helsinki MAN AND THE BALTIC SEA The Context of the Symposium The objective of the Symposium is to provide a forum for a multi- and interdisciplinary consideration of the Baltic Sea: its present state, actions and developments that have led to the present state, the need for solutions and approaches to problem solving and solutions able to provide a basis for decision-making. The Symposium is composed of five sessions featuring
leading Finnish and international scientists and experts as invited speakers. Anyone interested in presenting research on the Baltic Sea is welcomed to take part in the poster session of the Symposium and should tick the appropriate box in the registration form. Registration forms have been distributed to universities and institutions with environmental interests, but can also be ordered from the coordinators. |
