Environmental symposia

Since 1995, the Foundation has arranged symposia on current environmental problems and the search for solutions. The goal of these symposia is to introduce current environmental research being carried out in Finland and elsewhere in the world. Finnish researchers and leading international experts are invited as lecturers. The symposia provide a forum for discussion for researchers, students and government officials and seek to heighten the awareness of the general public about environmental research. The research findings presented at the symposia are published in journals and bulletins of international standard.

The latest symposium The Global Environmental Change: Messages from Birds was organized in Hanasaari, Espoo, 17.-19.11.2010.
